Hi, I’m Siobhan*

Words are at the heart of who I am and what I do as a writer, editor, and midlife mentor.

I’ve been expressing myself through writing since I could hold a pencil. And I’ve been helping others to express themselves through their writing as an editor for most of my adult life.

Words give meaning to our lives and our experiences. The act of writing is healing.

Writing helped me heal when I lost myself. It helped me remember who I am, where I belong, what I forgot, and that I deserve a life I love. And words help me to help others through my writing, podcast, and card deck.

I think the greatest gift of writing is that it creates the space we need to know ourselves better. When we know ourselves better, we can move toward what we want and a life that reflects our true self.

Knowing myself better is what has brought me back to editing, because I was reminded how much I love the creative collaboration of working with others.

I also know this about myself: One of my superpowers is taking something that’s already good and making it better. That’s what I’ve always loved about editing. I get to help others make their writing the best it can be.

More about me…

  • I live in Central Oregon with my husband and our two Pit-mix pups. What I love most about where we live is the nature and wildlife in our own backyard—from songbirds and raptors to deer, coyotes, and bunnies.

  • I am a 2/4 Emotional Manifestor in Human Design and a Type 9 in the Enneagram.

  • I have stopped drinking coffee almost entirely and now my beverage of choice is drinking chocolate.

  • Even though I’m a summer baby, it’s become my least favorite season (‘cause hot and smoky). Bring on autumn!

  • I was born, raised, and lived most of my life in California and am surprised by how much I love real winters and snow.

  • I have an eclectic career history, including being a trained life coach and pastry chef; regardless of the job, writing has been integral to everything I’ve done.

Fun facts few people know…

  • I was 7 years old the first time my writing was published. It was a poem in the local newspaper.

  • I won the 4th grade spelling bee.

  • I was twice nominated for a Computer Press Award.
